A SURPRISE VISIT AT CHRISTMAS

    A SURPRISE VISIT AT CHRISTMAS

There is much debate about the time of year that Jesus was born.
All I can say about that is that one Christmas nearly forty years
ago He came on the 25 of December. My wife Elaine & I were
missionaries among a group of Indians in the tropical rain forest
called “Chimanes”. Because they lived in a remote area and living
conditions were difficult our five children in order to get an education
had to be hundreds of miles away at a boarding school most of the year.

Jesus walking by the sea of Galilee saw two brothers Peter and Andrew casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen, then
He said to them “follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” Jesus called them to become disciples. He would teach them how
to win souls as they followed Him and learned hands on how to witness to the lost. A professional fisherman would teach a novicehow to catch fish by teaching him where to go for fish. What thebest hours are for fishing, what bait to use for certain kinds of fish,

As Imeditated on God’s Word a verse in Ezekiel 22:30 stood

outin my mind. The context was about Israel’s wicked leaders

whopresented false visions and divined lies lulling to sleep a

nationthat was in danger of God’s wrath because of their rebellion

David,in the well known Psalms 23 talks about the Shepherd using

Boththe rod and the staff in verse 4. The Shepherd loves the sheep

andknows when to use the rod and when to use the staff. Because

Davidknew that God loved him he said that they both comforted him.

Therod was used to chastise with when the sheep strayed away from

thefold. The staff had a hook on the end that the shepherd used to

The prophet Jeremiahwarned about prophets who spoke a vision

from their own heartsand not from the mouth of the Lord. Beware

of spiritual hocuspocus from those who seem to have had a vision

from the Lord when Hehas not spoken. Someone said “If fire doesn’t

HARD QUESTIONS WITH SIMPLE ANSWERS

There are some things written in the Bible that we may not find theanswers
to until after the rapture. However, there are some questions thatskeptic’s

his wife? The answer is simple, he married one of his sisters. Adam andEve
started the first family on the earth. Cain was the first born and inGenesis
