HARD QUESTIONS WITH SIMPLE ANSWERS

HARD QUESTIONS WITH SIMPLE ANSWERS

There are some things written in the Bible that we may not find theanswers
to until after the rapture. However, there are some questions thatskeptic’s
often ask that do have a simple answer to. One of them is where did Cainget
his wife? The answer is simple, he married one of his sisters. Adam andEve
started the first family on the earth. Cain was the first born and inGenesis
5:4, after Adam begot Seth the days of Adam was eight hundred years and
he had sons and daughters. The Bible doesn’t tell us how many sons and
daughters Eve bore but in 800 years time there is  no doubt a goodly number.
There were no otherfamilies at that time. Adam & Eve’s family
was it. The argument about incest doesn’t wash here because the law of
incest didn’t come into play until many years later, after the gene’sbecame polluted because of sin.
It wasn’t until the 18 chapter ofLeviticus that
God gave Moses a list of laws about sexual morality that God commanded
In verse 6 that none of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin tohim
to uncover his nakedness, I am the Lord. Before that time it was notunlawful to marry a sister,
half sister or cousin. Now days when close kin
marry the gene’s are so polluted that the off spring is often borndefective.
Just where did Shem, Ham and Japath’s children get their mates? Werethey
not only eight people saved from the flood? They married, of course, close
relatives because there was no one else and the law of incest had notbeen
instituted yet. It is recorded in the Bible that Abraham married hishalf-
sister. There was no sin in that. The law of incest had not been givenyet
at the time he lived. Abrahams servant traveled back to Abraham’scountry and family
to choose a wife for Isaac. God answered the servant’sprayer
and brought back Rebekah who was born to Milcah, the wife of Nahor,
Abraham’s brother. When it was time for Jacob, Rebekah’s son by Isaac,
to seek a wife Isaac sent him to Laban the brother of Rebekah who gave
him both Lea and Rachel. No incest law yet existed and God was in the
midst of it all. We had this problem among the Chimanes where we worked.
Because of their fear of witchcraft they didn’t mix with other
families and inter-married within their clan. We didn’t insist that they
break up their families but taught what God says about it now and they
are slowly reaching out to other clans as the fear of witchcraftsubsides.
Plural wives was not forbidden in the old testament. In fact ifsomeone’s
brother died and left no off-spring, his brother, even thought he had awife
was commanded to take his deceased brother’s wife and produce children
with her so that his dead brother’s line would continue. God did command
Solomon to not multiply wives and horses to himself which he violently
disobeyed and God also forbid marrying outside of the Jewish racebecause
He had separated them to be a holy race of people. It was not because of
the color of their skin. Solomon also violated that law and ended upbowing
down to dumb idols that his heathen wives had brought in.When David sinned with Bathsheba God said that was wrong, if you wanted more wives I would have giventhem to you, but you have sinned by taking the wife of another man.We also come to the issue of the “son’s of God who went into the”daughter’s of man” and produced giant’s, men, not only of great renown
but also of great wickedness. The son’s of God could not be thedescendants
of Seth as some theologians claim because Seth was the son of fallenAdam, not of God.
We also have no record whether Seth lived a holy life or not
but we find the genealogy of Seth in Matthew 3:23-38 which
includes Enoch, & Noah, his great-grandson who were both men
from the line of Seth who walked with God. We also discover
that the “sons of God” were fallen angel’s, no doubt spurred on
by Satan to contaminate and pollute the human race by going into
women from Adam’s fallen race and producing hybrids who were
incapable of repenting and living for God. We find this information
in Chapter 6 of Genesis. God saw that this group of hybrids
multiplying upon the earth would only become more wicked so
He was sorry He had made man onthe earth and was
determined to destroy him. God is always one up on Satan and He
had a man, Noah who found grace in His eyes. Somehow, from
the line of Seth he has escaped the contamination of the evil Satan
goaded others into. I don’t pretend to be a great theologian but the
Hebrew term that is translated “sons of God” in the old testament is
Bene HaElohim which refers exclusively toangels. The “daughter’s
of  men” are (benoth adam) not daughter’s of Cain. There were giants
(Nephilim)theword Nephilim which means the fallen ones) Jude talks
about going after strange flesh when he refers in verses 6-7 to theangels
who left their first estate and how Sodom & Gomorrah, in like manner
to these angels gave themselves over to sexual immorality, being homo –
sexual. That’s why God had to pronounce so harsh a judgment on those
people and destroy them all. An Angel is a created, eternal being that
cannot die a physical death, being a spirit. However, those who went
into the fallen women produced bodies and that off-spring died in the
flood. The studs who produced the off-spring are reserved in tartarus,
(the prison for fallen angels)See 2 Peter 2-4 There arestill plenty of
demons running around lose. Jesus cast some of them out of people
during His ministry, but I believe that the Bene HaElohim Nephilm’s
that bred Adam’s off-spring are reserved in chains, awaiting judgment
and won’t be involved with earth’s women again.
You may not agree with me but that’s ok. I feel I have an answer for
those who ask. You don’t have to agree with me, but you have to love me.
I love very dearly those many friends and relatives who fear losing
their salvation. I believe and embrace the doctrine of eternal security
but we are going to be quite surprised when we get to heaven to and
discover both Armenian’s and Calvinist’s side by side. When I was a
soldier in Korea I lived for God. I had a dear Pentecostal friend who
was a precious man of God. He and I went to an orphanage in Seoul
and taught English to the children. He played an organ and we sang
together for hours. One night while he was waiting for me to get ready
he sat down at a table where men were gathered playing cards and just
visiting and all at once he picked up a deck of cards and started doing
unbelievable tricks with them. All eyes of the fifty or so in the roomwere
glued on him. Someone exclaimed, how did you ever learn to do that
with cards? He put the deck on the table and said; what I wanted to do
in life was magic tricks. I practiced hard and had my own show but one
night I knelt at an old fashioned altar and accepted Jesus Christ as my
personal Savior and since then my life is lived for Him. The power of
the Holy Spirit was so strong no one could move. When we left they
were all just staring into space. I met another friend who really knew
the scriptures. He was quite strong on eternal security. Since I loved
the fellowship with both of these men I ask them to go have a meal
together so they could get to know one another. Disaster struck when
my eternal security friend ask “George” if he was eternally secure.
George tried to answer him but he started quoting scriptures that George
who knew the Bible well could hardly refute. My dear scripturally
correct buddy had wrecked our time together. Instead of having a
wonderful time together it was miserable. People who use scripture
to blast someone are not showing love. Paul said in 1Corinthians 13
that even if we have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries
and all knowledge and enough faith to move mountains, we are nothing
if we don’t have love. I love to preach! Do I love those I preach to?
I don’t have to ask someone if they are Armenians or Calvinist’s, I can
sense that kindred spirit in them as we fellowship together and we bond
immediately. At the beach we had a neighbor who is a Catholic but I
believe that woman knows the Lord and we spent hours talking about Him.
Yes! doctrine is important but so is love. Love is even more importantthan
doctrine! Is that heresy? Even the unsaved know when it real or forshow.
And now abide faith, hope & love, these three; but the greatest ofthese is love.
